Hi, we’re Jack and Flynn — the trainers and dog lovers behind Birstwith Barkyard!

After working as professional dog trainers for over five years each, we wanted to create a daycare with a difference — one that’s not just about playtime, but about helping dogs learn, grow, and thrive every single day.

At our daycare, we combine expert training with structured socialisation and enrichment, so every dog leaves happier, more balanced, and better behaved than when they arrived. Our goal is to make sure dogs get the fun and freedom they love — while also reinforcing the good habits that make life at home even better.

How Many days per week at our daycare is right for your dog?

Here's what we recommend.

1 day per week

One Day per week at our daycare is great for keeping your dog socialised, giving yourself a break and contributing to your dogs Exercise, fulfilment and stimulation needs. You will see improvement in training and behaviour over time.

Two days per week at our daycare is great for socialisation With lots of dogs, and this will also contribute massively to your dog's exercise, fulfilment and stimulation needs. You will see improvement in training and behaviour over time.

Three days per week is the sweet spot for meeting your dog's needs for exercise, fulfilment and stimulation whilst also giving them a break. Dogs that are here 3+ days per week, see good improvement when it comes to training and behaviour.

Four days per week is great for high energy breeds, meeting their needs for exercise, fulfilment, and stimulation. Dogs that are here 4+ days per week will see rapid improvement when it comes to training and behaviour.

Five days per week is great if you have a busy schedule, work commitments or you just want to give your Dog the best life possible. Dogs that are at the Daycare 5+ days per week, become very obedient and well behaved in a short period of time.
